Care Tips • Be wary of the shampoo you use, as it can loosen the tapes if too hydrating. • Do not apply conditioner to your scalp--it also can loosen the tapes. Apply from mid-length to ends only. • Deep condition regularly. Hair extensions will get dry much faster than your own hair, so a good hydrating hair mask once a week will help maintain moisture (again, mid-length to ends only.) I leave it in until I'm done with my shower, and rinse just before getting out. • Finish your shower routine with cool water, as this will help seal the cuticle and retain moisture. • Use a good leave-in conditioner after every wash. • Follow the leave-in with a good hair oil. • Always use heat protection when using styling tools!! • Brush your hair gently and often, starting from the ends and working your way up so as to prevent excess breakage. I would brush my hair every morning and every night minimum, and always after showering to evenly distribute my leave-in products. • Braid or twist your hair before bed every night to prevent tangles and breakage. • Invest in some satin pillowcases--even if you don't have extensions. They're beneficial for hair and skin!
